We cannot wait to share with you the results of the St. Petersburg Race Ust-Luga Cup held between 31.07.2020 and 2.08.2020, in which our company entered two teams at once. 

Based on the results for three days, the teams put the 5-th and 14-th places under their belt and to the credit of awards won by SU GT Morstroy. On the whole, for our team this is not a bad achievement, however we had, of course, hoped for more. With every passing year we have been, slowly but surely, making our way to the prize winning places, and next time, we are bound to make it to the TOP 3!

It was an experiment for us, indeed, to have been able to come up with the second team for the company SU GT Morstroy. That was the only female team in the race. In spite of them winning the 14-th position in the race, we can be fully proud of the result as few would have dared to challenge professionals and amateurs of the sailing sport given lack of sufficient experience!

“Back in 2016, our partners from the company Boskalis invited me to Ust-Luga Cup. I did not understand then what I was letting myself in for. However, since then I’ve been captivated by this race and the sailing sport, as a whole. And for the next two years, the thought of taking part in the Cup together with my own team never left my mind. Finally, in 2018, we made our debut. Last year, we were on the starting line again ready to race, and this time, defying all the difficulties with the virus, we made our minds to enter the race, too. Of course, now and then – these are two different races. However, the passion, the fire is still there. The race has an atmosphere of its own and it is very cool”.

I wish to say special thanks to the organizers of the race who, in defiance of all the challenges in 2020, have still made sure that this annual event goes ahead, and have made it over into the new format of the Mini-Cup. Also many thanks go to ZigZag Yatch Club, whose facilities served as the venue for the race.
